Job summary

MidAmerican Energy Company in Des Moines, IA is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support electric delivery by processing supplier invoices in the requisitioning system, verifying remit address, payment amount, terms and PO alignment.

You will enter invoices, track errors, develop metrics, assist in contractor management and cost analysis, and support storm-restoration efforts and incident reporting as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business or related field.
• At least two years in electric utility industry.
• Strong communication and PC skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensures vendor invoices are processed in a timely fashion and are matched to support documents, including timesheets, rate schedules and contract information.
• Enter vendor invoices into the requisitioning application, ensuring proper accounting codes; coordinate with operation teams to ensure invoice accuracy.
• Track errors and corrections to help develop metrics for evaluating vendors; perform reclassifications for electric delivery; assist in data gathering and report generation.
• Support in electric delivery and contractor management; identify data sources and implement processes to support cost determination and tracking; analyze O&M and capital expenditures.
• Support storm restoration activities for MidAmerican and mutual assistance; process p-card expenditures, assist in time entry for mutual assistance and assemble invoice documentation.
