Planet Pharma seeks a Fractional Investor Relations Consultant to proactively engage the biotech investor community. The role focuses on outreach, relationship-building, and strategic messaging to support private fundraising efforts.

The ideal candidate has biotech IR experience, strong industry relationships, and the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to financial partners. This is a 10-hour-per-week engagement in the Colorado area with flexible timing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct direct outreach to prospective biotech investors and VC firms.

Fractional Investor Relations Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct direct outreach to prospective biotech investors, venture capital firms, and other relevant healthcare investment groups
• Leverage existing investor relationships to facilitate introductions and expand the company’s investor network
• Identify, research, and prioritize prospective investors based on investment strategy and company fit
• Participate in weekly BD and fundraising strategy meetings with executive leadership
• Partner closely with the CEO, CFO, CMO, and existing Corporate Development resource on investor engagement
• Support development and refinement of the company’s investor messaging and positioning
• Assist with preparation for investor meetings, presentations, and follow-up discussions
• Participate in investor meetings when appropriate and help maintain momentum following initial conversations
• Provide leadership with feedback and market intelligence gathered through investor interactions
• Maintain an organized pipeline of investor outreach, conversations, and next steps

Ideal Background

• Previous Investor Relations experience within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or a closely related life-sciences organization
• Strong existing relationships across the biotech/healthcare investment community
• Experience interacting directly with institutional investors and/or life-sciences-focused venture capital firms
• Experience supporting investor outreach and private-company fundraising efforts
• Hematology/oncology or oncology experience and investor relationships strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of clinical-stage biotechnology and the ability to communicate scientific, clinical, and business concepts effectively
• Comfortable conducting proactive investor outreach and developing new relationships
• Able to operate independently while collaborating closely with senior executives
• Experience working within a small or emerging biotechnology company preferred
• Available approximately 10 hours per week with the ability to begin quickly
