Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) seeks an Investor Relations professional to partner with leadership in executing our IR strategy and communicating financial performance to stakeholders. You will help develop investor-facing content, analyze market data, and support events and ongoing investor engagement.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Finance, Corporate Communications, Legal, and Strategy, with a focus on accurate, consistent messaging and timely insights for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business required.
• 4 years' experience in Finance or Accounting.
• MBA or CPA preferred; excellent communication skills in a corporate setting.

Responsibilities

• Support investor communications and content development, including earnings presentations, investor decks, fact sheets, executive briefing materials, and website updates.
• Assist in ensuring materials are accurate, consistent, and aligned with company messaging.
• Monitor industry, regulatory, market and company developments relevant to investor relations activities.
• Support earnings-related activities, including preparation of earnings materials, earnings call coordination, analyst consensus tracking, and Q&A support.
• Coordinate responses to investor inquiries with internal and external partners.
• Assist in planning and executing investor events, including the annual meeting, conferences, roadshows, and earnings calls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Corporate Communications, Legal, Regulatory, and Strategy teams to gather information for IR initiatives.

Support the development of summaries and reports of key trends, news, analyst commentary, and market developments for the Investor Relations team and senior leadership.Support earnings-related activities, including preparation of earnings materials, earnings call technology coordination, analyst consensus tracking, Q&A support and analysis of investor and analyst feedback following earnings releases and other key disclosures.Support relationships with investors, analysts, rating agencies, and other financial community stakeholders. Coordinate responses to investor inquiries with internal and external partners.Support planning and execution of investor events, including the annual meeting, conferences, roadshows, and earnings calls.
