Job summary

BNY is seeking Investment Service Operation Analysts to join a Middle Office team in Pittsburgh, PA. This 12-month contract role involves hands-on exposure to the investment trade lifecycle, with training provided.

Expect four days onsite per week and interaction with brokers, custodians, and clients. Ideal for early-career professionals; 1–2 years of experience preferred, strong detail orientation, and ability to meet daily deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional experience preferred; strong entry-level candidates will be considered
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Client-first mentality with strong judgment and problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn complex processes and become increasingly independent
• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Responsibilities

• Trade Processing: Receive client trade files, process daily transactions, and ensure trades are accurately instructed to the market
• Trade Settlement: Monitor settlements with brokers/custodians and resolve exceptions
• Reconciliations: Support cash, asset, trade matching, and market value reconciliations
• Client Support: Communicate with clients and external partners to answer questions
• Data & Exception Management: Maintain trade data and identify issues
• Reporting: Assist with client reporting and portfolio valuation processes
• Global Operations: Collaborate with international teams via follow-the-sun model
