Mercer, a Marsh business, is seeking an Institutional Investment Consulting Associate to support investment advice for institutional clients and to work with experts on portfolio construction, manager evaluation, and performance analysis.

You will coordinate projects, ensure timely client deliverables, and contribute to AI-enabled analyses in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The role offers hybrid work with three in-office days weekly and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with coursework in business or investment-related fields.
• 2–5 years of relevant investment experience.
• Pursuing or willing to obtain CFA, CAIA, CIMA, or CIPM designation.
• Knowledge of performance calculations, risk metrics, and portfolio construction.
• Self-motivated and highly collaborative in a team setting.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and awareness of its impact on the big picture.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Examine and monitor developments at investment management firms and communicate updates to clients.
• Manage projects with high-quality deliverables, delegating to analysts and ensuring peer review.
• Leverage AI and technology-enabled tools to improve insights and efficiency.
• Produce accurate client reports through analysis of investment data and performance.
• Liaise with investment managers and custodians to gather client data for reporting.
• Support investment manager searches, structure reviews, and asset allocation studies.
• Participate in quarterly or ad-hoc client meetings.
• Analyze and edit investment policy statements and conduct portfolio structure analysis.
