Job summary

Orion is seeking an Investment Strategist to collaborate with the portfolio consultant and management team to develop investment strategy, product selection and asset allocation recommendations. You will support advisors and clients with investment analyses and due diligence, and assist the sales team on non-Wealth Advisory cases.

You’ll work in a hybrid model with three or more days on-site at a designated office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years investment industry experience.
• Series 65 license or Series 7 and 66 licenses (must obtain within 90 days if not held).
• Prefer CFA or CFP designation or progress towards one.
• Experience in market research, asset allocation, portfolio management or investment due diligence (client facing preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review risk tolerances and goals of prospective clients to tailor asset allocation recommendations.
• Assist in management of client portfolios as directed by the portfolio team.
• Generate proposals for tailored investment portfolios for advisors or prospective clients.
• Meet with advisors to review proposals and discuss recommendations.
• Review client allocations for alignment with objectives and rebalance as needed.
• Create portfolio analytics to support allocation recommendations.
