Position description:

SEI's Investment Management Unit (IMU) is seeking an Investment Solutions Data Analyst to join our Data Team. This highly visible role impacts the data used by SEI's Investment Management Unit and market units. The successful candidate will collaborate with the IMU Data Team to acquire new data sets, improve processes, and develop solutions to support the needs of the Investment Management Unit and its clients.

What you'll do:

  • Monitor and improve investment data flow, quality, and consumption.
  • Acquire and transform new data sets from internal and external sources, storing them in internal databases.
  • Create and monitor data integrity reports; perform reconciliation and data scrubs for accuracy.
  • Work with vendors to resolve asset setup issues in the risk system.
  • Ensure data quality for investment management, reporting, and compliance.
  • Update controls and procedures to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot data issues collaboratively with analysts, portfolio managers, and vendors.
  • Automate tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate on projects and new initiatives within IMU and SEI market units.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Systems, Mathematics, or MIS.
  • At least 4 years of experience in financial services.
  • CFA and/or CIPM designation or progress towards; reimbursement provided.
  • Knowledge of mutual funds, managed accounts, and investment types.
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL, Python, Power BI, or Access is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with fund accounting systems and analytical tools like Factset, Bloomberg, BlackRock Solutions is a plus.
  • Understanding of performance attribution and risk calculation is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required.
