Position description:

SEI’s Investment Management Unit (IMU) is looking for an Investment Solutions Data Analyst to join our Data Team. This is a highly visible position with a direct impact on the data used by SEI’s Investment Management Unit and market units. The successful candidate will work closely with the IMU Data Team to acquire new data sets, create and enhance processes, and develop solutions to meet the broad needs of the Investment Management Unit and its clients.

What you’ll do:

1. Monitor existing data feeds and implement improvements in investment data flow, quality, and consumption.
2. Acquire new data sets from internal and external sources and establish processes to transform and store data in internal databases.
3. Create and monitor daily data integrity reports; perform periodic reconciliation and data scrubs to ensure accuracy.
4. Work with third-party vendors to resolve asset setup issues for portfolios in the IMU’s risk system.
5. Provide quality assurance and controls for data used in investment management and reporting.
6. Modify existing controls and create new procedures to mitigate risk and increase efficiency.
7. Troubleshoot data issues collaboratively with analysts, portfolio managers, compliance, operations, vendors, and clients.
8. Automate and improve the efficiency of daily tasks and monthly processes.
9. Collaborate on projects and new product initiatives within IMU and SEI market units.

What you bring to the table:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Systems, Mathematics, or MIS.
2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial services.
3. CFA and/or CIPM designation, or progress towards, is a plus; reimbursement is provided.
4. Understanding of mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and their holdings.
5. Experience with relational databases, SQL, Python, Power BI, or Access is a plus.
6. Experience with fund accounting systems and analytical tools such as Factset, Bloomberg, and BlackRock Solutions is a plus.
7. Understanding of investment performance concepts, attribution, and risk calculation is a plus.
8. Proficiency in Excel is required.
