Job summary

CEFCU is seeking a Registered Investment Services Assistant in Peoria, IL. The role supports Financial Advisors with client service, trade placement, and problem resolution while contributing to marketing efforts that boost member satisfaction and productivity.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 0-2 years of administrative or member service experience, and be licensed (Illinois Life/Health; FINRA SIE; Series 7/66 or 7/63/65/66) with ability to renew.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years’ administrative assistant or member service experience.
• Maintains Illinois Life/Health Insurance license and FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and Series 66, or Series 7, 63, and 65 or Series 7, 63, and 66 licenses, and be able to complete continuing education/testing requirements as needed to maintain professional licenses.
• Computer literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and personal vehicle insurance.
• Fingerprinting and FINRA background checks.
• Broker-Dealer’s Registered Representative Agreement including non-solicitation clauses.
• Sales support experience in investment operations.
• Professional experience in securities and/or insurance industries.
• Knowledge of investment and retirement products.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CRM experience (Salesforce) preferred.
• Track record of meeting/exceeding sales/referral/up-sale goals.
• Community involvement through local events and organizations.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Financial Advisors with customer service, trades, problem resolution, and marketing to boost client satisfaction and productivity.
• Back up Investment Services Support Team as needed.
• Maintain required licenses and continuing education.
• Perform discount brokerage functions.
• Provide the highest quality member experience for internal and external members.
