Job summary

Northern Trust in Chicago seeks an Associate Relationship Manager to support Relationship Managers and senior staff in delivering exceptional service to institutional clients. You will coordinate client servicing, manage onboarding and account changes, and partner with internal teams to ensure timely execution of requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in the financial services or investment management industry.
• Foundational knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; problem solving to address client servicing issues.
• Series 7 and 63 licenses required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers in servicing institutional client relationships.
• Assist with day-to-day client inquiries, requests, and follow-up activities.
• Coordinate internal resources to resolve routine client servicing and operational issues.
• Track action items and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Manage account maintenance, onboarding, mandates, restructures, and related requests.
• Prepare materials for client meetings and reviews.
• Document client activity, opportunities, and relationship developments.
