Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors in Chicago is seeking an Institutional Relationship Management Associate to support North American institutional clients, delivering a high-quality client experience across four pillars: investment excellence, operational excellence, consistency, and partnership.

You will build strong client relationships, coordinate meetings, and assist in onboarding, reporting, and due diligence while leveraging Salesforce and other internal systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional asset management, relationship management, client service, or related environment.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; build effective client/internal relationships.
• High attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, timely work.
• Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key partner in a team-based model for North American institutional clients delivering high-quality experience across investment excellence, operational excellence, consistency and partnership.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, custodians, and administrators (some travel may be required).
• Coordinate client meetings, scheduling, agendas, materials, and follow-up actions.
• Support senior relationship managers with onboarding, reporting, operational changes, and issue resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain accurate client activity, relationship data, opportunities, risks and follow-ups in Salesforce and internal systems.
• Develop understanding of institutional investors and market trends; communicate insights and position JHI strategies.
• Assist in preparing client presentations, reporting, investment updates, RFPs/RFIs, and due diligence materials.
• Identify growth opportunities and support retention plans alongside investment, sales, and product specialists.
