Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Reconciliation Analyst Intern to support comparing investment data against an advanced reconciliation system. You will assist with daily reporting, learn issue investigation with mentors, and build relationships with data providers and clients while gaining foundational financial reconciliation skills.

You’ll work with mentors, learn internal tools, and tackle projects to deepen industry knowledge in a dynamic, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of investment, financial, and accounting concepts.
• Familiarity with GAAP and IFRS is a plus.
• Coursework or interest in securities or financial markets preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables); VBA a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing and updating reporting data to meet daily deadlines.
• Learn to investigate and help address issues within the reconciliation system, with guidance from mentors and department experts.
• Support the team in building relationships with data providers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrate curiosity about product innovation opportunities.
• Build familiarity with internal tools and processes through hands-on training.
• Develop an understanding of financial concepts and how they apply to reconciliation errors.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external parties, submitting inquiries and providing updates under supervision.
• Complete assigned projects or learning modules to deepen technical and industry knowledge.
