Ashby, Inc. in the United States seeks an AI-native Investment Principal with a strong biotech/tech background. You will source and diligence early-stage opportunities, using agentic pipelines and your network to meet founders regularly.

You will lead technical and business diligence on chemistry, biology, data, and models, and craft crisp investment theses to defend with GPs. You will design internal agentic workflows and support portfolio companies after investment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medicine (Masters or higher).
• Strong interest in investing; no prior investing required.
• Fluent with AI tools and current agent technology.

Triatomic Capital backs founders building at the intersection of technology and life sciences. We're looking for AI-native & deeply technical Investment Principals who work differently: people who build and use AI as an everyday part of finding, evaluating, and supporting companies.

What you'll do

• Source. Run your own sourcing engine using agentic pipelines over tools like Harmonic and Affinity, plus your own IRL network. Meet founders early and often.

• Diligence. Lead diligence (technical and business) on companies where the hard questions are about chemistry, biology, data, and models. Use agents to compress timelines for reference checks, market landscape, and financial modeling.

• Decide. Draft crisp IC decks and defend your investment theses with the GPs.

• Build. Design and maintain our internal agentic workflows for research, sourcing, diligence, and portfolio management.

• Support. Work closely with founders and our portfolio after we invest.

Who you are

• You have an advanced degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medicine (Masters degree or above).

• You have a real interest in investing. No prior investing experience is needed.

• You're fluent with today's AI tools, both general-purpose agents and vertical-specific ones, and you're always trying new ones.

• You have a strong network. Real relationships with founders and early employees at startups, and with engineers and leaders at large technology companies: hyperscalers, neoclouds, chipmakers, AI labs, and techbio.

• You're curious, rigorous, and comfortable forming and defending a view.
