Job summary

Parametric invites a cohort-based internship focused on investment operations, data analytics, and workflow improvement. You will rotate through Market, Client, or Control teams and gain hands-on experience with cash and position reconciliation, lifecycle support, and client servicing.

You will develop domain knowledge across processes, systems, data flows, and controls while tackling real-world operational issues, designing dashboards, and proposing automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree completed by the program start date
• Relevant fields include engineering, operations research, data science, computer science or related analytical/technical field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Systems-thinking and continuous-improvement mindset
• Attention to detail and data-driven decision making
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ownership, learning agility, and ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
• Experience with spreadsheets to organize and analyze information

Responsibilities

• Complete a three-week cohort immersion in Parametric's investment strategies, operating model, and Operations organization
• Join Market, Client, or Control teams and develop domain expertise in workflows
• Execute investment operations workflows such as cash and position reconciliation, trade lifecycle support, client servicing, corporate actions, onboarding and maintenance, contracts, oversight, and billing
• Develop end-to-end understanding of processes, systems, data flows, controls, handoffs, and dependencies
• Investigate exceptions and client-impacting events and identify root causes
• Partner with Operations teams, portfolio managers, traders, sales, product management, technology teams, external providers, and other stakeholders
• Perform quality control and maintain accurate records and documentation
• Analyze data to identify patterns, anomalies, trends, bottlenecks, and risks
• Build dashboards or tools that produce actionable insights
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, or redesign workflows
• Contribute to process mapping, requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and adoption
• Collaborate on process-improvement and AI-enabled initiatives
• Present findings and recommendations to team members and business partners
