Job summary

The Inter-American Development Bank invites a graduate student to join as an Intern Consultant in Washington, DC, working within the Retirements Plans Investments Operations area. The role focuses on supporting investment operations, portfolio reporting, and data integrity as part of a paid internship.

You will develop dashboards, enhance analytical tools, and assist with data migration to Azure/SQL while gaining exposure to risk management, controls, and reporting infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Active graduate student in a relevant field with graduation after the internship period.
• Fluency in English with a working knowledge of one other Bank language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support investment operations and portfolio reporting, including settlement, invoice review, payments, wire transfers, reconciliations, and data maintenance.
• Develop and enhance dashboards and analytical tools for portfolio monitoring, performance reporting, rebalancing, liquidity management, and analysis.
• Assist with compliance, operational risk and due diligence activities, including monitoring guidelines and reviewing controls and fund documents.
• Support data and technology initiatives, including migration of investment data to Azure/SQL and Power BI enhancements.
• Develop automation and process improvements using Power Automate and other tools to streamline reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain process documentation and update records as directed.
