Job Overview – Investment Operations Associate

Compensation: $65,000 – $80,000/year + bonus

Location: Boston, MA

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring an Investment Operations Associate in Boston, MA for our client, supporting investment operations, trade execution, treasury management, cash management, and client portfolio activities across an investment platform. This role offers broad exposure to public and private market investments while partnering closely with investment, operations, and client service teams throughout the investment lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in investment operations within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities as the Investment Operations Associate:

• Investment Execution: Coordinate subscription, redemption, capital call, and investment-related documentation while ensuring accurate and timely execution.
• Trade Operations: Support trade lifecycle activities, including trade processing, settlement oversight, execution review, and transaction monitoring.
• Treasury Management: Manage cash movements, wire transfers, funding activities, and liquidity requirements across multiple portfolios and currencies.
• Cash Reconciliation: Reconcile cash balances, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate records across custodial platforms and accounts.
• Investment Reporting: Track capital activity, monitor portfolio cash flows, and provide operational reporting to internal stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Identify operational efficiencies, support automation initiatives, and contribute to strategic projects across the operations team.

Qualifications for the Investment Operations Associate:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field is required.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in investment operations, trade operations, treasury operations, asset management, or institutional investment environments is required.
• Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of investment operations, trade processing, cash management, portfolio operations, and financial markets is required.
• Technical Skills: Experience with Bloomberg, custodial platforms, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools is required. Experience with data visualization and reporting systems is preferred.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a collaborative team‑oriented mindset are required.
