Investment Operations Analyst

We are seeking an Investment Operations Analyst for a leading investment management firm located in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have 1-2+ years of experience reconciling holdings and transactions across systems and custodian banks. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate portfolio accounting, reconciling securities and transactions, resolving discrepancies with custodians and vendors, and coordinating with internal teams.

This is a full-time, permanent, fully remote position offering a $65K-$70K base salary plus bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and validate cash transactions within the portfolio accounting system.
• Manage securities data and pricing to ensure accurate characteristics and performance appraisals.
• Prepare routine and customized reports to meet internal and external requests.
• Support trade workflow monitoring by coordinating with trading desks and counterparties on settlement details.
• Ensure proper integration of trade data into the accounting system and timely sharing with custodians.
• Perform reconciliations with custodian banks, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of holdings and transactions.
• Document and track discrepancies, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution.
• Generate reconciliation reports across multiple systems for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 1-2+ years of experience in investment management, fund accounting, or portfolio accounting.
• Must have at least 1 year of reconciliation experience.
• Familiarity with fixed income and equity securities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to manage high-volume correspondence.
