Investment Management Summer Analyst Program – Equity Research

Program Overview:

The Investment Management Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week internship comprising one week of training followed by nine weeks working within a specific Investment Management team. The program is designed to develop fundamental skills necessary for a successful career in Investment Management. During the internship, analysts experience Morgan Stanley's culture and perform roles similar to a full-time analyst.

This role within the MSIM Active Fundamental Equity group involves collaborating directly with portfolio managers, analysts, and research associates on research projects throughout the summer.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support: Assist portfolio managers, equity analysts, and research associates in daily tasks.
• Research: Conduct basic research on sectors, industries, companies, and countries as needed.
• Meetings: Attend equity research meetings, company meetings, and industry specialist meetings.
• Projects: Contribute to special projects within the Equity Department.
• Data Systems: Learn to use market data systems such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and Thomson-Reuters products effectively.
• Model Preparation: Assist in preparing financial models using data from company filings, including 10Ks, 10Qs, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Data Extraction: Extract relevant data from financial reports and databases to update models related to specific industries and companies followed by analysts.
• Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
• Skills: Strong analytical abilities, independence, teamwork, excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability.
