Job summary

Wiss Family Office is seeking an Investment Management Associate to support research, portfolio management, and trading across diverse client portfolios. The role blends analytical rigor with process optimization and client-facing activities within a fast-growing wealth-management environment.

You will engage directly with senior advisors, contribute to investment strategy, and help scale the firm’s platform through innovative use of AI tools and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
• Master's degree in Finance, Investment Management, Financial Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in investment management, wealth management, institutional asset management, family office, or investment consulting.
• Strong understanding of portfolio construction, capital markets, and asset allocation.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with Orion, Tamarac, Black Diamond, Addepar, Schwab, Fidelity, or similar platforms preferred.
• Series 65 (or willingness to obtain); CFA or CFP progress is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to leverage AI tools—including Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and ChatGPT—to improve productivity, enhance investment research, automate workflows, and help scale the business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, alternative investments, and portfolio managers.
• Analyze portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk, and performance.
• Monitor markets and economic trends and communicate actionable insights.
• Support investment committee meetings through research and recommendations.
• Execute trades accurately across client portfolios.
• Support portfolio implementation, rebalancing, tax-aware trading, and cash management.
• Coordinate with custodians and third-party investment managers.
• Maintain model portfolios and improve trading workflows.
• Prepare sophisticated client presentations and portfolio analyses.
• Support advisors during complex investment discussions.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and recommend scalable solutions.
• Lead initiatives that improve investment processes, technology, and efficiency.
• Champion the thoughtful adoption of AI and emerging technologies to enhance investment research, automate workflows, and scale the firm's investment platform.
