Job summary

Commerce Trust, a division of Commerce Bank, is seeking a Business Development Associate & Specialist to drive new investment management and advisory business by partnering with line leaders and staff at Commerce Bank and outside contacts.

You will market investment strategies, manage the sales pipeline, and coordinate RFP responses, with a focus on building lasting client relationships and achieving annual new business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years business development experience preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce and CRM systems is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Market proprietary investment strategies and advisory services to reach stated annual new business fee goals.
• Prepare and deliver materials and proposals to prospects and partners on time.
• Follow up on marketing leads and generate new prospects for investment management.
• Ensure services are delivered consistently by the client service team.
• Support BD Officer initiatives by tracking a high volume of opportunities.
• Maintain CRM with prospect and client data for pipeline visibility.
• Conduct territory and market research to identify growth areas.
• Assist in managing RFP responses and tailor proposals to prospects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
