Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking Investment Funds Associate Attorneys for their New York office. The ideal candidate holds a JD from a top-tier law school, is admitted to the bar, and has 3–6 years of substantive experience in investment management and fund formation.

You will represent funds across private equity, hedge, private credit, real estate and other strategies, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to business development in a nationally recognized practice.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic credentials (Top 20% of class).
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 3–6 years of substantive experience in investment management and fund formation.
• Background in private equity funds, hedge funds, private credit funds, real estate funds, hybrid funds, and funds utilizing alternative investment strategies is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial spirit are required.

Responsibilities

• Represent private equity, hedge, private credit, real estate, hybrid, and other types of funds employing alternative investment strategies.
• Provide support on matters involving retail alternative funds (BDCs, interval funds, closed-end funds).
• Work closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional legal solutions for clients.
• Contribute to the firm's expanding investment funds practice, directly interacting with clients and supporting business development.
