Job summary

Fifth Third in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Banking Sales Leader to coach a team of licensed retail bankers, manage client relationships, and drive securities revenue across a defined territory.

You will train bankers on investment strategies, conduct client meetings, and coordinate cross-sell opportunities while maintaining risk controls and delivering excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• Prior Brokerage Industry Experience.
• Licensing: Series 7, 66 (or 63 & 65) and state insurance licenses; exceptions noted.
• Variable annuity license required.
• Motivated by commissions and internal sales contests.
• Ability to motivate others in a team environment.
• Strong coaching and teaching skills to transfer knowledge.
• Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for clients.
• Proven ability to build internal and external client relationships.
• Extensive knowledge of securities products and financial solutions.
• Strong sales and presentation skills.
• Travel required within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals while serving clients' best interests.
• Plan and conduct individual and group coaching sessions for retail bank employees.
• Develop client meetings to review accounts and close sales with licensed bankers.
• Handle daily client needs and assign tasks to resolve issues.
• Post-appointment follow-up to cultivate referrals.
• Manage sales planning to drive results and customer experience.
• Maintain broad knowledge of financial products through study.
• Delegate tasks and ensure follow-through.
• Prepare internal sales reports and track performance.
• Coordinate daily with team for accurate accountability.
• Conduct seminars for business development and growth.
• Cross-sell services (loans, estate planning, deposits).
• Serve as coach and mentor for licensed bankers.
• Organize bankers with tools and skills for success.
• Guide progress toward team goals; recognize achievements.
