GENERAL FUNCTION:

Accountable for overall production, coaching, training, and developing a team of licensed retail bankers. May handle a large book of clients with more complex financial profiles. Responsible for sales of the full range of securities products and achieving targeted securities fee income goals within an assigned territory. Design and customize coaching sessions to train bankers on investment strategies and product solutions. Conduct solo and joint appointments with bankers to identify potential clients and provide solutions that align with their needs and financial goals. Maintain a presence within the bank to develop strong relationships and credibility with internal and external clients.

Responsible and accountable for risk management by adhering to policies and procedures, elevating concerns, and ensuring actions drive a positive customer experience. Achieve results within the Bank's risk appetite by identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Achieve sales goals while prioritizing clients' best interests.
  • Plan and conduct individual and group coaching sessions with retail bank employees.
  • Develop and conduct client meetings to review accounts and close sales, both individually and jointly with licensed bankers.
  • Handle daily client needs and problems, prioritizing and delegating tasks to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Follow up post-appointment to maintain relationships and develop referrals.
  • Manage sales planning for self and team to drive sales, achieve goals, and improve client experience and financial results.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of financial products through self-study and coursework.
  • Delegate tasks and ensure follow-through.
  • Prepare internal reports for sales tracking.
  • Coordinate with team daily to ensure accountability.
  • Conduct seminars for business development and growth.
  • Prioritize client needs and introduce services of other Fifth Third Bank employees, such as loans and estate planning.
  • Serve as a coach and mentor for licensed bank employees.
  • Organize and share tools and skills needed for success.
  • Guide and promote progress toward team goals.
  • Recognize and reward achievement of goals.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Prior brokerage industry experience.
  • Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65), and appropriate state-required insurance licenses. Variable annuity license required.
  • Motivated by commission sales, recognition programs, and sales competitions.
  • Ability to motivate others in a team environment.
  • Strong coaching and teaching skills to relay complex products and processes.
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex financial concepts.
  • Proven ability to build strong internal and external client relationships.
  • Extensive knowledge of securities, investment products, and financial solutions.
  • Excellent sales and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
