Job summary

PCC Structurals is seeking a Production Engineer to support the development and optimization of investment castings. The role focuses on dimensional and metallurgical engineering, improving process efficiency and reducing variability.

You will work with manufacturing personnel and cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions and achieve cost savings. The incumbent will read blueprints, manage metallurgical qualification, and ensure gating design meets PCC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical, industrial, materials science engineering and investment casting.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, statistics and technical reporting.
• Proficiency with Solidworks, GD&T, statistics tools, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to interact with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct engineering related problems.
• Perform hands-on manufacturing process review and root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing tools and procedures to support production.
• Lead cost reduction projects and rework plans to correct non-conforming product.
• Review customer drawings and specification changes for impact.
• Coordinate with Quality, Sales, Planning, Manufacturing, and production personnel.
• May supervise other engineers or technicians on assigned projects.
• Participate in the concurrent engineering process with customers.
• Plan and manage part metallurgical qualification.
• Read and interpret blueprints with GD&T.
