Job summary

Cantor Fitzgerald in San Francisco seeks an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join its Technology Group. The Associate will play a key role in the execution of mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and strategic advisory assignments for a broad range of technology clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead development and review of complex financial models (DCF, LBO, mergers, accretion/dilution).
• Execute M&A, capital markets, and strategic advisory transactions from origination through closing.
• Prepare and review pitch books, management presentations, and offering memoranda.
• Conduct analysis across software, AI, fintech, internet, cybersecurity, semiconductor, and broader tech sectors.
• Manage due diligence and coordinate with clients, counsel, and auditors.

Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join its Technology Group in San Francisco. The Associate will play a key role in the execution of mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and strategic advisory assignments for a broad range of technology clients. Working closely with senior bankers, the Associate will help lead transaction execution, oversee analyst work product, and maintain direct interaction with clients and other transaction stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and review of complex financial models, including DCF, LBO, merger, accretion/dilution, and other valuation analyses.
• Execute M&A, capital markets, and strategic advisory transactions from origination through closing.
• Prepare and review pitch books, management presentations, offering memoranda, and other client materials.
• Conduct detailed financial, operational, and industry analysis across software, AI, fintech, internet, cybersecurity, semiconductor, and broader technology sectors.
• Manage due diligence processes and coordinate workflow among clients, legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors.
• Oversee and mentor analysts, ensuring the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
• Participate in client meetings, management presentations, and investor discussions.
• Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and assisting with client coverage initiatives.
• Monitor capital markets activity, transaction trends, and emerging developments within the technology sector.
• Manage multiple transaction workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

• 3-6 years of investment banking experience, preferably within technology, M&A, capital markets, or related advisory practices.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting, valuation methodologies, and transaction execution.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
• Experience managing transaction processes and coordinating cross-functional teams.

$150,000 - $225,000

The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
