Job Title: Associate, Technology Investment Banking

Responsibilities:

The Technology Investment Banking Group at Cantor is seeking highly motivated, successful candidates with investment banking (or related) experience for the Associate position in New York. The Technology Investment Banking Group offers Associates an exceptional opportunity to work on small deal teams with direct exposure to clients and senior bankers. Associates will participate in the full transaction execution process, including outlining and preparing pitch materials, creating and reviewing financial analyses, preparing marketing materials and reviewing internal committee memoranda. Associates are an integral part of the deal team and are expected to receive exposure across various Technology verticals.

• Coordinate various deal processes, including equity and debt capital raises and M&A advisory transactions
• Prepare and review confidential information memoranda, management presentations and marketing pitches for clients
• Prepare and review various detailed financial and valuation analyses
• Conduct industry and company-specific due diligence related to transactions
• Interact with senior bankers, corporate clients, private equity firms and venture capital firms
• Train and mentor Analysts within the team

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in investment banking
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed presentation skills with elevated attention to detail
• Strong analytical orientation, with experience performing financial modeling and valuation analysis in Excel
• Team-player mentality with strong work ethic
• Current or recent Technology industry experience is not required but strongly preferred
• SIE required, Series 63 & 79 licensing required

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 per year. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
