Job summary

William Blair seeks a Senior Investment Banking Associate to support new business development, transaction execution and the delivery of investment banking products to clients. You will perform financial modeling, valuation analyses and due diligence while collaborating with client staff to advance projects.

The role involves preparing proposals, presenting results, and mentoring analysts. Travel is expected, and a discretionary bonus plan applies based on performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
• Internship or prior work experience in financial services is preferred.
• SIE, Series 79 and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employment.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical abilities and accounting/finance knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Travel required: approximately 10% to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive financial/valuation analyses to value debt and equity for M&A and capital raises.
• Build advanced financial models for potential clients and/or industries.
• Lead due diligence, research, analysis and documentation of transactions.
• Develop and deliver proposals and presentations to clients and prospects.
• Participate in client meetings and in preparing marketing materials.
• Provide training and mentorship to analysts and interns.
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
