Job summary

William Blair seeks an experienced investment banking professional to assist in targeting and closing new deal opportunities. You will participate in selling services to clients, drive presentation development, and provide direction on complex financial analyses for high-impact transactions.

You will build relationships with client senior executives, review junior staff work, and coach analysts. Travel 20–40% and lead deal processes with senior banker oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Prior investment banking experience required; 3+ years at Associate level strongly preferred.
• SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employment (for US only).
• Detail oriented with deep analytical abilities.
• Superior mathematical, writing, verbal and computer skills.
• Ability to adapt to new tasks with little notice.
• Travel required: 20 to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Assist in targeting and closing of new deal opportunities.
• Participate in selling/pitching William Blair’s services/products to clients and prospects.
• Drive day to day activities for presentation development and positioning of advantages.
• Build and maintain relationships with client senior executives and manage senior banker expectations.
• Review all analyst and associate work for consistency and formatting.
• Act as lead on-the-job trainer for associates and analysts and guide junior team members.
• Participate in recruiting and training activities.
• Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
