Job summary

William Blair, a premier global partnership, seeks an MBA-credentialed analyst to execute in-depth analyses supporting business development, transaction execution, and the delivery of investment banking products and services. You will perform financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and collaborate with client staff to present results and train junior staff.

You will lead due diligence, build models, contribute to proposals and client meetings, and help expand industry knowledge.

Qualifications

MBA degree with anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
Internship or prior work experience in financial services industry preferred.
SIE Exam, prior to beginning employment, and Series 79 and Series 63 within 90 days of employment.
Detail oriented with strong analytical abilities.
Excellent mathematical, written and verbal communication, and computer skills.
Ability to adapt to new tasks with little notice.
Ability to manage expectations of senior bankers while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective leadership and coaching skills.
Strong desire to win and sound judgment.
Deep understanding of accounting and finance.

Responsibilities

Perform extensive financial/valuation analyses to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions and capital raising transactions.
Build advanced financial models to value potential and actual clients and industries.
Lead due diligence and documentation of transactions, anticipate issues.
Participate in presentation development and hypothesis testing to highlight results.
Develop, produce and deliver proposals and presentations to clients and prospects; contribute to marketing materials.
Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions.
Research and expand industry expertise to target clients; monitor industry drivers.
Identify process improvements to complete tasks more efficiently.
Own client relationships and anticipate needs; ensure seamless solutions.
Understand macro factors related to client industry and IB products.
On-the-job trainer for analysts with constructive feedback.
Ensure compliance with applicable rules, policies and procedures.
