Job description

BrightTower is a modern NYC-based middle-market investment bank that has grown from zero to 40 employees in under six years - and we're not slowing down!

We advise founder-led and PE-backed companies on sell-side M&A transactions in the $100M-$800M+ enterprise value range, with deep focus across the information, tech-enabled, and B2B services sectors, and an emphasis across the marketing & communications ecosystem.

Our deal flow reflects the strength of the platform: a balanced buyer universe of financial sponsors and strategic acquirers, a client base split between entrepreneur exits and sponsor processes, and a consistent track record of sophisticated transactions across the full spectrum of middle-market M&A.

Position Overview

If you've built strong execution fundamentals - whether running large-scale processes or owning transactions end-to-end at a smaller shop - BrightTower is where that foundation gets put to work differently.

Deal teams are intentionally lean, which means associates carry real responsibility, engage directly with clients and counterparties, and develop the sector fluency and strategic instincts that define great senior bankers.

No siloed product groups, no coverage hand-offs - just lean teams, senior attention, and full ownership from pitch to close.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage day-to-day deal execution and lead the flow of information between all parties
  • Develop and review financial models, valuations, and due diligence analyses
  • Perform in-depth research on industry trends, specific companies and investors, and precedent transactions
  • Create high-quality deliverables for prospective and current clients, including pitches, management presentations, and other selling materials
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and prospective buyers that extend well beyond a specific transaction
  • Supervise and mentor Analyst colleagues

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree with high-performing GPA
  • 3+ years (or less, if you're remarkable) of post-college experience in investment banking, with direct involvement and fluency in all stages of sell-side M&A processes
  • Sophisticated knowledge in financial modeling, valuations, corporate finance, and accounting
  • Confident presenter with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to enable effective "story telling" to clients, prospects, and strategic and PE buyers
  • Strong desire to be part of a fast-paced entrepreneurial culture and eagerness to learn
