Job summary

Brean Capital, LLC is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join its Financial Institutions Group in Philadelphia. You will own end-to-end transaction workstreams for depositories and insurance clients while mentoring Analysts and serving as a primary client contact.

You’ll drive complex financial models, coordinate across deal teams and regulators, and contribute to business development with senior bankers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with strong academic record; MBA or CFA is a plus but not required.
• 3+ years of transactional experience in investment banking or related fields with M&A experience.
• Demonstrated M&A and capital markets execution across banks and/or insurers.
• Deep understanding of banking or insurance accounting and valuation drivers.
• Advanced financial modeling skills; fluency with industry tools; able to manage multiple transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of M&A, capital raising, and advisory transactions for banks and insurers.
• Own and review complex financial models including merger models and operating projections.
• Oversee valuation work and prepare materials for fairness opinions.
• Prepare pitch books, information memoranda, and client presentations.
• Manage due diligence, document drafting, and coordination with counsel and teams.
• Develop client relationships and support senior bankers in business development.
• Supervise and mentor Analysts and coordinate across live projects.
• Collaborate with FIG equity research and institutional sales on capital markets execution.
