RBC Capital Markets, LLC is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in Insurance and/or Asset & Wealth Management coverage. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Investment Banking experience, with ≥3 years in FIG.
• Solid understanding of capital markets and spreadsheet modeling.
• Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of finance and accounting.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to maintain relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive financial analysis and advisory support on transaction execution, new business presentations and meetings.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis on insurance, asset management, and wealth advisory sectors.
• Coordinate with Industry, Product and other groups to evaluate and originate new business ideas/opportunities.
• Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business.
• Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities.
• Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks to line manager and risk/control functions on a timely basis.
