Responsibilities

• Execute M&A and strategic advisory transactions across the full deal lifecycle.

We are partnered with a well-established investment banking platform that is looking to add an Investment Banking Associate to its Enterprise team in Birmingham, Alabama, where the team advises clients across the technology, business services, and healthcare sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking professional to join a highly active team and gain exposure across multiple attractive sectors. The Associate will take on meaningful responsibility throughout the transaction lifecycle, working closely with senior bankers and clients on M&A and strategic advisory transactions from initial pitch through closing.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute M&A and strategic advisory transactions across the full deal lifecycle
• Build and review detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
• Prepare pitch books, management presentations, CIMs, and other client-facing materials
• Conduct company, industry, and transaction-related research and analysis
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage communication across clients, buyers, investors, and third-party advisors
• Work closely with Analysts while taking increased ownership over transaction execution
• Partner directly with senior bankers and gain meaningful exposure to executives, business owners, and other key decision-makers

Qualifications

• 2+ years of investment banking experience, ideally with M&A and transaction execution exposure
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
• Demonstrated experience working on live transactions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to take ownership of deliverables
