Private Equity Secondaries Associate (Menlo Park, CA)

Dartmouth Partners is partnering with a leading global private markets investor to hire an Associate into its Menlo Park investment team.

The team invests across the private equity secondaries market, with a particular focus on Technology, Growth and Venture Capital. The role offers broad exposure across GP-led secondaries, LP portfolio transactions and primary fund commitments, combining company-level underwriting with fund and portfolio analysis.

With the Secondaries market continuing to grow rapidly, this is an opportunity to join an established global platform operating at the intersection of private equity, technology and venture investing.

The Role:

Associates work in lean deal teams alongside senior investors and take meaningful responsibility throughout the investment process. Responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating buyout, growth and venture capital investments
• Building financial models to value companies, funds and secondary transactions
• Conducting financial, commercial and investment due diligence
• Assessing the merits and risks of potential investments
• Working directly with leading private equity and venture capital managers
• Preparing and presenting investment opportunities to the global Investment Committee

Candidate Profile:

We are looking to speak with candidates with approximately 1–3 years of experience across Investment Banking, Private Equity, Growth Equity or a similarly analytical transaction-focused environment.
