Job summary

Undisclosed private markets investment firm in the United States is seeking an Associate to join its investment team. The role spans sourcing, diligence, underwriting, execution, and portfolio monitoring across venture capital, growth, and private market secondaries.

You will work closely with senior investment professionals, evaluating opportunities, building financial models, supporting memos, and coordinating with GPs, founders, and other partners.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of VC/PE/Secondaries or equivalent experience.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

We are working with a private markets investment firm seeking an Associate to join its investment team. The firm invests across venture capital, growth, and private market secondaries, with exposure to both fund and direct investments.

The Associate will work closely with senior investment professionals across sourcing, diligence, underwriting, execution, and portfolio monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and conduct due diligence on venture capital, fund, and secondary investment opportunities
• Analyze financials, fund performance, market dynamics, and underlying portfolio companies
• Build financial models and investment analyses and contribute to investment memos
• Participate in diligence calls and meetings with GPs, founders, and other investment partners
• Support transaction execution and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain investment pipeline and CRM systems
• Assist with portfolio monitoring, valuation analysis, and LP reporting

Ideal Background:

• 2-4 years of experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Secondaries, Fund-of-Funds, Allocator, or Investment Consulting
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a lean team
