Job summary

RETS Associates in San Francisco is seeking an Investment Associate to join a lean deal team responsible for analyzing and leading deal executions across Office/Industrial/R&D/Mixed-Use real estate. The Associate reports to the Director and supports underwriting and due diligence.

The role requires a bachelor degree in business/finance/real estate/economics and 3–6 years of deal exposure, with strong quantitative and analytical skills and a keenness for detail. Office-based role in SF.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or Economics.
• 3–6 years in real estate investment, development, lending, brokerage or investment banking with deal exposure.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

• Coordinate closings including due diligence, IC memos, and interface with legal / external consultants.
• Market research, property research, lease / rent roll analysis, and other research for various deals.
• Communicate with external parties including brokerage community, business partners, lenders, and consultants.

RETS Associates, on behalf of our client, a fully integrated, Office / Industrial / R&D / Mixed-Use real estate investment firm, is seeking an Investment Associate in their San Francisco office. The Associate reports to the Director and is a key member of lean deal team responsible for analyzing and leading deal executions.

Responsibilities

• Provide acquisitions underwriting and financial analysis including cash flow analysis, market and property due diligence, financing, and JV structuring.
• Coordinate closings including due diligence, IC memos, and interface with legal / external consultants.
• Market research, property research, lease / rent roll analysis, and other research for various deals.
• Communicate with external parties including brokerage community, business partners, lenders, and consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in related field including Business, Finance, Real Estate, and/or Economics.
• 3 - 6 years of experience within a real estate investment, development, lending, brokerage firm, or real estate investment banking required. Must have deal experience.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
