Job summary

Metis Search is seeking an Associate for Infrastructure Private Credit in New York to join a growing team within a leading global investment manager. You will originate and develop new opportunities, evaluate structures, and oversee transactions across the full investment cycle.

The role requires 3+ years in investment banking, private credit, or asset management, with strong financial modelling, credit underwriting, and stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
• 3+ years of relevant experience across investment banking, private credit or investment management, with a track record appropriate to VP/SVP level.
• Strong sector knowledge across power, infrastructure, digital infrastructure, renewables and the energy transition.
• Excellent financial modelling, credit underwriting and transaction structuring skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and external counterparties.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, combined with the commercial judgement and independence required to lead complex investment processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the origination and development of new investment opportunities, building relationships with sponsors, borrowers, intermediaries and institutional counterparties.
• Oversee the execution of investment transactions from initial screening and due diligence through structuring, underwriting and closing.
• Develop and assess transaction structures, evaluating credit risk, downside protection and risk-adjusted returns.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and modelling, prepare investment committee materials and present recommendations to senior decision-makers.
• Monitor and manage existing portfolio investments, identifying opportunities to enhance performance and support long-term value creation.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, contributing to the continued development of the investment team.

The team has a strong track record across infrastructure credit space, supported by a strong legacy AUM and capital to help originate and execute compelling investment opportunities.

This team operates within a broader asset management business with nearly $1 trillion in AUM, the platform offers significant scale, global reach and exposure to a diverse range of domestic and international transactions.
