Reporting to the Vice President of Investments and Strategy, the Investment Associate will contribute to all parts of Ubiquity’s investment process and support portfolio company strategy and oversight.

Location:

This position is on-site at one of the preferred locations: Charlotte, NC or Leawood, KS.

Employment Classification:

Exempt: Regular, Full Time.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties / Responsibilities:

1. Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on prospective direct equity investments.
2. Contribute to investment sourcing, value creation, monitoring investments, and marketing efforts.
3. Assist in transaction due diligence, including financial, legal, commercial, and tax workstreams.
4. Create and maintain detailed financial models for investments.
5. Prepare and present investment analysis to colleagues, committees, and the Board of Directors.
6. Assess operational maturity of portfolio companies to identify improvement areas.

Education and / or Experience:

Progress toward or completion of undergraduate or MBA degree and/or relevant qualifications like CFA, CIMA, or CAIA is a plus.

Required Skills / Abilities:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or related fields.
• Expertise in financial valuations (DCF, LBO, merger modeling, comparables, precedent transactions).
• Support for due diligence and transaction execution.
• Experience with company presentations and benchmarking documents.
• Exposure to valuation and impact analyses.
• Experience in TMT or communication infrastructure is a plus but not required.

Occasional travel (<20%) is required.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

Work involves sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding, fine manipulation, and occasional travel. A flexible work environment with reliable internet and communication tools is necessary.
