Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or private credit.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or a related field.
• Ability to work on deliverables and projects independently.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Understanding of capital structure and leveraged buyouts.
• Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, proactive, self‑driven.
• Interest in impact investing.
• Willing to work full‑time in‑person in San Diego, CA.
• Knowledge or experience in healthcare space is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess new investment opportunities by reviewing teasers.
• Deep dive into Offering Memorandums and CIMs.
• Conduct industry research and market mapping.
• Analyze historical financial data and forecast performance.
• Assist in deal structuring and leverage metrics.
• Create and manage financial models (LBOs, comps).
• Prepare sections of investment memos and IC presentations.
• Support portfolio monitoring and quarterly valuations.
• Maintain CRM up‑to‑date for portfolio reviews.
