Who We’re Looking For:

Morningstar is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to support real estate investment activities across our self-storage and marina platforms. This role plays a key part in supporting the evaluation, underwriting, and execution of investment opportunities while ensuring collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct thorough evaluation of all deal materials to develop a deep understanding of each investment opportunity, identifying information gaps and raising key questions.
• Complete initial underwriting and investment committee presentations, with a focus on highlighting unique drivers and opportunities.
• Incorporate feedback from leadership, cross-functional departments, and the executive team to refine and finalize investment materials.
• Maintain the investment pipeline, ensuring adherence to deal deadlines and efficient project management.
• Assist in the due diligence process, providing analytical and organizational support as needed.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects to inform decision-making.

What You Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, accounting, or a related field required.
• Two or more years of experience in real estate investments, asset management, capital markets, real estate banking, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and project management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing professional-level investment materials.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• A proactive mindset with a desire to grow within the organization.
