Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the CIM partnership investment accounting and reporting functions, driving process improvements and technology-enabled transformation. You will oversee GAAP and regulatory reporting, partner across Finance and Operations, and mentor a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience leading teams and managing complex accounting processes.
• Demonstrated success leading process improvement, technology implementation, or transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled technologies.
• Experience with partnership investments, alternative investments, or insurance investment accounting.
• Knowledge of statutory accounting and insurance industry reporting requirements.
• Experience implementing accounting systems, investment subledgers, or finance transformation initiatives.
• Experience working with global operations or shared service organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and financial reporting for the partnership investment portfolio.
• Oversee GAAP and statutory reporting deliverables with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review complex investment transactions and determine accounting treatments.
• Partner with Investment Front Office, Operations, Finance, Tax, Actuarial, and external auditors.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on investment accounting matters.
• Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and innovation across teams.
• Drive automation and technology initiatives to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
