The Cigna Group is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead CIM Accounting, overseeing partnership investment accounting, GAAP and statutory reporting, and the transformation of the operating model. This leadership role partners with Front Office, Operations, Technology, and Global teams to implement new technologies and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience leading teams and managing complex accounting processes.
• Experience with partnership investments or insurance investment accounting.
• Experience implementing accounting systems or finance transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, control, and reporting quality.
• Lead accounting and financial reporting for Cigna's partnership investment portfolio.
• Oversee GAAP and statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with Investment Front Office, Operations, Finance, Tax, Actuarial, and external auditors.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Partner with Global Operations to transition activities and streamline processes.
• Define future-state accounting capabilities with Technology teams.
