The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is seeking an Investigator in Wake County to conduct criminal investigations, interview witnesses and suspects, and prepare investigative reports for prosecutorial teams. You will be involved in collecting and preserving evidence and coordinating with other law enforcement partners.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of criminal law, investigative methods, and evidence handling, and must be sworn as a law enforcement officer within 30 days of hire.

Formación

• High school or GED diploma plus one year of experience in law enforcement work or an equivalent combination.
• Certification as a Law Enforcement Officer in accordance with NC standards.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts criminal investigations (misdemeanor and felony) and collaborates with other agencies as needed.
• Interview victims, witnesses, and suspects; collect and preserve evidence; document events for court.
• Prepare clear investigative reports and share information with command staff and partners on request.
• Assist with other law enforcement duties including special events and civil unrest activities.
