Job summary

Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys and the Office of the U.S. Attorneys in Indianapolis seeks an Investigator to support federal investigations. You will work with assigned attorneys to identify applicable administrative statutory and regulatory law and collect evidence.

Responsibilities include conducting extensive searches, compiling documents and evidence, creating charts and visual aids for motions and trial, and preparing progress reports for attorneys.

• Experience in investigations within government or law enforcement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducting extensive searches of files, records, and regulatory processes to find or obtain appropriate evidence for prosecution.
• Compiling documents and physical evidence, and creating charts, graphs, videotapes, and other audio-visual materials for use in motions and at trial.
• Independently handle cases as a lead investigator, which are characterized by obscure leads, few visible records, uncooperative witnesses, and conflicting evidence.
• Examining books, ledgers, payrolls, cost reports, billing transactions, events, or allegations under investigation.
• Preparing interim and final reports on progress of investigations for use by attorneys.
