Job summary

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation seeks an Investigation Specialist II to join the Bureau of Compliance in the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes. The role involves analyzing complaints, applying Florida statutes, interviewing witnesses, and producing formal investigative reports.

Two years of investigative experience and strong written communication are required; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of investigative experience in researching and analyzing statutory issues.
• Two years of preparing investigative reports.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and investigate incoming complaints for alleged violations of Florida Statutes and Board Rules.
• Identify applicable portions of Florida Statutes to allegations against associations.
• Review evidence to determine if it supports investigation.
• Make calls to witnesses, complainants, and respondents to obtain statements.
• Prepare written letters and detailed investigative reports.
• Monitor caseload to ensure timely processing and coordinate with supervisor.
• Travel for case and non-related case matters as needed.
