Job summary
Department of Legal Affairs in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an Investigation Specialist II to conduct thorough investigations of alleged violations, interview witnesses, collect records, and prepare concise reports. You will draft investigative plans for cases and support staff attorneys in hearings and depositions.

Qualifications
- Five (5) years of relevant experience in investigations or related fields.
- Associate degree (or 60+ semester hours) with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor degree (or 120+ semester hours) with 1 year of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Conducts thorough investigations of alleged violations of Chapter 104 and Chapter 106, Florida Statutes.
- Interviews witnesses, collects and examines records for evidentiary value, and prepares reports of investigations which are accurate and concise.
- Drafts investigative plans for all cases assigned for investigation.
- Processes auto-fine case appeals to the Florida Elections Commission.
- Attends meetings of the Florida Elections Commission, court hearings, and depositions throughout the State of Florida; gives testimony when needed.
