Responsibilities

As a Principal Consultant in Procurement, you will work with BCG clients to develop and implement strategies to optimize strategic procurement processes and supply chain management. In this role, you will apply your sound expertise, understanding of business contexts, and analytical skills to enable organization priorities. You will also work in multidisciplinary teams to help businesses improve their products and create market growth strategies.

• Strategic customer management. You will work closely with our customers and be their sparring partner while in charge of their projects.

• Broad range of challenges. Project assignments at home and abroad, in a wide range of industries from start‑ups, trade and consumer goods to the energy and automotive industries, as well as the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
• Comprehensive project management. You will develop and implement tailor‑made strategies in procurement and supply chain management and demonstrate entrepreneurial talent in the acquisition of new customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in procurement and/or supply chain management (experience in consulting is highly preferred).
• BS from an accredited university (MS is preferred).
• Significant success in business optimization.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills.
• Results‑orientated mindset.
• Confidence and persuasiveness.
• Business‑fluent written and spoken English language skills.
• Willingness to travel around the globe to work with clients and BCG teams. The amount of travel will depend on client needs and nature of projects.

Travel Requirements

You’ll be based in Chicago and Atlanta. Moderate travel is anticipated and will vary based on specific project locations.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation for this role is $230,000 in USD. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and retirement contribution. BCG also provides a market‑leading benefits package described below.
