Job summary

Boston Consulting Group is seeking a Principal Consultant in Procurement to help clients optimize procurement and supply chain processes. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and work across industries to implement tailored strategies that drive growth and efficiency.

You will contribute to knowledge development, engage with clients as a trusted advisor, and travel globally as needed. The role requires extensive experience in procurement and strong analytical and communicative abilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in procurement and/or supply chain management; consulting experience preferred.
• BS from an accredited university; MS preferred.
• Significant track record in business optimization.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills.
• Results-oriented mindset with confidence and persuasiveness.
• Business-fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel globally; moderate to significant travel.

What You'll Do

As a Principal Consultant in Procurement, you will work with BCG clients to develop and implement strategies to optimize strategic procurement processes and supply chain management. In this role you will apply your expertise, understanding of business contexts, and analytical skills to enable organizational priorities, and work in multidisciplinary teams to help businesses improve their products and create market growth strategies.

As part of a high-growth company you will be exposed to and responsible for:

• Far-reaching responsibility – ensuring the professional and personal development of your team and shaping management strategies as a member of the Inverto management team.
• Strategic customer management – working closely with customers and being their sparring partner for projects.
• Specific development – supporting company-wide knowledge development and sharing expertise in a specific subject area.
• Broad range of challenges – project assignments at home and abroad across a wide range of industries.
• Comprehensive project management – developing and implementing tailor‑made strategies in procurement and supply chain management and demonstrating entrepreneurial talent in acquiring new customers.

What You'll Bring

Additional Information

YOU'LL BE BASED IN: This role is currently open in Chicago and Atlanta.

YOU'LL BE TRAVELING: Moderate travel is anticipated and will vary based on specific project locations.

FOR U.S. APPLICANTS: The base compensation for this role is $230,000 in USD.

In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and retirement contribution. BCG also provides a market-leading benefits package.
