Job summary

Enviroplex - A Division of McGrath is hiring for a Forklift Operator/Yard Assistant in Stockton, CA. You will operate a tugger to move modular buildings, containers, tanks and large equipment in the yard, and use forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies inside the warehouse.

Occasional site deliveries and tire/axle changes are part of the role. The position requires forklift certification, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and strong communication with staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outside in variable weather conditions.
• Ability to follow spoken and written instruction.
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff and customers as needed.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company's safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Prior experience in related work required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Possess and maintain current certification in the operations of required forklift and related equipment.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Operate tugger and other equipment to move and retrieve modular buildings, containers, tanks and large, heavy equipment in the yard.
• Operate forklift to stack and retrieve supplies and materials within the warehouse.
• Occasionally deliver materials to job sites using company vehicle.
• Assist yard crew as needed with changing tires and axles on modular buildings.
• Assisting with inventory accuracy when in the warehouse.
• Document location of equipment and communicate location to office staff as needed.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order and documents inspections of equipment; reports discrepancies.
• Maintain daily inspection log(s) for equipment and properly report exceptions; ensure equipment receives periodic maintenance.
• Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for role.
• Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Fill and deliver material vouchers to production crews.
• Perform other duties as assigned
