• Understanding of and experience with accounting basics and financial impact of inventory.
• Experience with inventory management and/or purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory to minimize excess stock and write-downs.
• Reallocate stock and reduce dead stock.
• Identify slow-moving products and propose solutions.
• Enter transfers to move materials.
• Oversee vendor relations and returns workflow.
• Analyze forward buys to control inventory exposure.
• Lead inventory control team; hire, train and appraise staff.
• Train associates on inventory systems.
